on the subject of #occupy ______
i just want to ask what does this rallying or protesting actually accomplish in the end? its not going to drive the cost of tuition down or take the power from the 1% or lower taxes or change anything socially nor economically.
it simply creates unnecessary pandemonium in an environment that should not be disrupted by such belligerent actions. feel free to exercise your right to the first amendment, I’m no social suppressor, but please do so within reasonable limits. there may be no definite parameters for what is acceptable and what is not, but please question if what you are doing goes beyond what should be socially accepted. peaceful assembly that avoids disturbing the peace of course is practical, but when ordered by an official administration to cease such activities to maintain peace within a community, it would be expected that individuals would comply.
in addition, using law enforcement’s actions during these times as justification to say “fuck the police” does no justice for anyone. it further escalates tensions between the governing body and society, which will inevitable lead to a society’s downfall. people should realize that law enforcement is not something to be taken for granted; think of how much society relies on them at all hours of the day. should a community lack a law enforcing body, who is to say that people would not be plagued with more social problems and discrepancies between rising factions (i.e.: the 1%, vigilantes, authoritarians, etcetera).
just consider all aspects of a particular situation before making outlandish accusations or statements. and if you disagree with what i have to say, or whether your neutral, well, I’m just exercising my freedom of speech :)
