Happy Thanksgiving

This was the first year that my grandpa has no been able to be at thanksgiving dinner with us…which kind of put a damper on things today. I visited him today -despite a scare that his blood pressure drastically dropped. But it was nice, he was rather, conscious I guess is what you’d call it. When I went up to him and said “hi grandpa, it’s Steve!” his eyes weren’t dilated and he couldn’t talk because he has a lung support tube down his throat, but a tear drop fell from his eye. And I asked him “have you missed me grandpa?! I’ve missed you these past couple of weeks” and he was actually able to slightly nod his head….well, that right there is what I’m especially thankful for this year. I’m thankful that I still have my grandpa in my life :)
